The interior of the villa is designed in colonial style, while exuding an atmosphere of grandeur and homeliness. Guests with a penchant for minimalist designs will appreciate the wooden furniture and clean, white walls in the villa. However, the interior of the villa is far from simple and unspectacular, as beautiful paintings cover the walls and an array of antiques give the villa a quirky, oriental feel. Stunning views from every corner

Admire the tropical lush garden of 2300 sqm, the villa is surrounded by coconut, palm and banana trees. Here you will also find the spacious pool -a 13-metre infinity pool- and jacuzzi. As you cool down, enjoy the beautiful, expansive view of the sea. This is like a dream, especially at sunset!

Terrace

Villa Jukung offers you a two-story pavilion with traditional Balinese high alang-alang roofs with full-length glass doors for maximum tropical ambience and stunning and breathtaking sea views. The pool could not have been more inviting as it sparkled brightly in the hot Balinese sun. Children will love playing in the clear water with the inflatable pool toys while parents can keep an eye on them while relaxing on the poolside loungers. The covered grass gazebo is a great place to escape the heat for a while and still enjoy the fresh sea breeze. The villa even has a homemade beach so the kids can build sandcastles. Just remember to have them wear hats and apply plenty of sunscreen. It is safe for swimming here and the reef immediately in front of the villa offers good snorkeling.

Bedroom

The master bedroom occupies the entire second floor of Villa Jukung. Designed with warm teak wood and a traditional thatched roof, this luxurious bedroom enjoys stunning ocean views to captivate you each morning after an invigorating night’s sleep on the large, white-covered bed. The room adjoins a curved balcony to enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning or share a bottle of chilled white wine in the evening after the kids are asleep. The en-suite bathroom has a large bathtub overlooking the bay, where you can watch thousands of lights illuminate at night. Each of the three guest bedrooms has a sea view and is furnished with beautiful antiques and large king-size beds with mosquito nets. All rooms have private bathrooms and two are equipped with bathtubs.

Living Areas:

Villa Jukung has a spacious living area that is furnished with sofas and cushions overlooking the waters of Candidasa. It is equipped with a plasma TV, great DVD library, DVD player/stereo System and iPod dock. The indoor dining table sits six and has an intimate setting. If you love hosting dinners the villa staff will set the table for 14-16 next to the pool and overlooking the ocean. The villa includes a fully-equipped guest kitchen.

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family. Villa Jukung’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Enjoy your meal at seashore

Lunch and dinner can be coordinated with the staff. The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements (against additional cost). Our staff will take care of the grocery shopping (local prices) based on the menu requests and your meals will be prepared and served to you at a time you preferred. We believe it is important to work with local products and ingredients. Thus, the fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs of the season are purchased daily at the local market. Pure, fresh and honest! you have to give the staff money in advance to go to the market. Afterwards, they will provide you with receipts.

Whether you are looking for a baby sitter, a tour guide, or simply some recommendations on how to bargain at street markets, just ask the staff who will be happy to assist you. Our staff knows that privacy is very important to you and is therefore only available in the background. They do everything to take care of you and make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The villa is surrounded by nature in all possible ways, trees, seaside, no noise of traffic, only the sound of waves and birds chirping.

Transfer:

The nearest airport is “Ngurah Rai” in Denpasar, a modern international airport. You can take a car transfer from the airport to go to Villa Jukung. The cost of this car transfer ranges from IDR 500,000 to IDR 900,000, depending on the type of car, van or bus you need to transport guests and luggage. We can arrange the car transfer for you preferably at the time of booking, or a few days before your arrival. The car transfer from the airport to Villa Jukung takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Breakfast

The villa is near by the 4 star hotel “Candi Beach Cottage” and its restaurant, and 5 minutes from the 5 star hotels Amankila and Alila with very fine restaurants. There is also a lot of good restaurants and shops in the nearby village of Candidasa. Here you are in the middle of the unspoiled Bali.

Visit the 11th century Bat Cave temple or trek to one of the oldest temples on the island, the Lempuyang Temple. Jemeluk Point offers stunning views of the bay and Pasir Putih Beach is a lovely place to stroll. An hour to the north, Amed offers exceptional diving. If you enjoy surfing, make the trek south to Keramas, where you’ll find some of the best waves on the island.

Candidasa is a relaxed seaside village with good dining options, including the Alila and Amankila resorts that are minutes from the villa. There are also nice coffee shops within walking distance of the villa. This is the perfect setting to experience the “real” Bali, away from the crowds. It takes about 90 minutes to reach Villa Jukung from the airport.

Those who want to experience traditional Balinese culture can visit the village of Tenganan, where the Aga culture comes alive. This village is only 10 minutes away. You can easily visit it, delve into the culture and understand how the Balinese community works.
