Explore South Bali

This is by far the most popular region of Bali!

The International Airport (DPS) is located here, as is the larger Kuta, which extends for several kilometers to Legian and Seminyak. The area south of the airport is quieter and largely upscale including Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. The areas north of Seminyak along the coast to Canggu and on to Tanah Lot are more rural but are also rapidly being developed with good infra structure. Sanur on the opposite coast is a mature tourist resort attracting mostly older families. I would recommend you to stay at least a few days in this region in one of our luxury villas with private pool. See for yourself below!

Best Travel Time Lombok:

The best travel time for a Lombok vacation is in the dry season from May to September. This is also the high season, along with Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Like on neighboring island Bali, hotels and tours will not be as cheap during this period as in the low season. In the rainy season which runs from October to April you can expect more rain. These can be heavy showers, but they usually last no longer than 2 hours. However, there is less rain in the wet season on Lombok than on Bali. For the rest you can enjoy a tropical climate with warm temperatures all year round on Lombok.

Sasak villages:

The original inhabitants of Lombok are the Sasak, today about 85 percent of the island population. If you are on Lombok, you should really visit a traditional Sasak village to experience firsthand how daily life is in such a community. The houses are made of bamboo, reed and cow dung and the residents are completely self-sufficient. In the area between Senkol and Kuta you will find many traditional villages where you can learn about the customs of the Sasak.
