Once upon a time, we traveled to Bali, an island in Indonesia, to explore its rich culture and natural beauty. As we landed at Ngurah Rai International Airport, we were greeted with warm weather and the sweet scent of frangipani flowers.

Our first stop was Ubud, a town known for its art and culture. We visited the Ubud Palace and saw traditional Balinese dance performances, featuring vibrant costumes and intricate choreography. We also visited the nearby rice paddies and saw farmers working the fields, using traditional methods that have been passed down for generations.

Next, we traveled to the north of Bali, to the small town of Lovina. There, we woke up early in the morning to take a dolphin watching tour. As we sailed out to sea, we saw pods of dolphins swimming and jumping in the water, their sleek bodies glistening in the sunlight. That’s when we fell in love with Bali and especially North Bali.

Afterwards, we visited the Banjar Hot Springs, where we soaked in the warm waters and felt our muscles relax. Nearby, we also explored the Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist Monastery, where we learned about Buddhist teachings and saw the ornate temple decorations.

We then traveled to the eastern part of Bali, to the town of Candidasa. There, we went diving in the clear waters and saw colorful fish and coral reefs. We also hiked up to the Tirta Gangga water palace, a beautiful complex of pools and fountains surrounded by lush gardens.

Finally, we ended our trip in Seminyak, a trendy beach town with upscale restaurants and boutiques. We spent our days lounging on the beach and watching the stunning sunsets over the Indian Ocean. We also visited the Pura Petitenget temple and saw the elaborate Balinese architecture and intricate carvings.

Throughout our travels in Bali, we were struck by the warmth and kindness of the Balinese people, who welcomed us with open arms and shared their rich culture and traditions with us. We left the island feeling rejuvenated and inspired, grateful for the unforgettable experiences we had and the memories we will treasure forever.

That’s where our love for beautiful Bali began. Years later, we built our first house and let guests enjoy this beautiful place. Now we welcome many guests every year in one of our fantastic villas from Bali Vacation Homes.
