The name was bestowed upon the retreat by its first guests in 2007, who were captivated by its beauty upon entering through the main gate.
The architectural style of Villa Cempaka is best described as Classic Colonial, with the villas resembling elegant palaces. They are adorned with intricate paras palimanan stone carvings and abundant wood carvings. Genuine teakwood is used for the roof edges, doors, and windows, all crafted according to the Balinese carving tradition. The estate showcases a deep appreciation for Balinese culture, meticulous attention to detail, and high-quality craftsmanship. Only the finest materials were utilized during construction.
