Beachfront Villa Senang, Lovina, Bali:
Villa Senang is located in the town of Dencarik on Jalan Melati. The villa is about 400 metres from the main road between Lovina and Seririt. A small lane, with beautiful sawas and vineyards to the left and right, leads to the house. In addition to the residents of a few other villas, local fishermen and farmers live there. The rear view is determined by the mountains inland. From the garden and the terrace you have a fantastic view over the Bali Sea where you will regularly see fishermen at work. In the west you can see the island of Java in the distance.
Villa Senang consists of a large living room, an open kitchen and four spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms -at the front of the villa- overlook the sea and have doors to the covered terrace. The other two bedrooms overlook the garden. All bedrooms have their own air conditioning and one of the bathrooms has an outdoor shower. Three bedrooms have double beds, one bedroom has two single beds. There are spacious closets available. On the walls of the rooms hang decorative old school records and photos about Indonesia from the early 20th century.
The tropical garden offers plenty of space for ball games or for meditation or yoga, but relaxing under the palms or in the Bale Benong (Gazebo) is also possible. Fresh herbs and delicious fruits (like bananas and papaya) can be picked right from the garden. In the garden at the edge of the beach is the Bale Benong. A kind of covered oriental lounge spot. Here you can relax and gaze over the beach and the sea. Especially at sunset you have a magnificent view. There is a wide range of exclusive books on Bali in the living room library. In it you will find unique books on Balinese history, culture, tourism and the colonial period.
On the covered terrace you can enjoy your meals in the shade at the large table. Read a book or play a game on the spacious terrace by the large pool are sunbeds. The private 90 m² pool has an ‘overflow’ to the beach side. You can also swim safely in the shallow sea in front of the villa. Do bring water shoes, the coast is sometimes a bit rocky. The garden borders directly on the beach and the sea. After a refreshing dip in the sea you can use the garden shower to rinse off the salt water.
There is also wireless internet available with a speed of 100 Mbps!
Meditation and Yoga:
Bali is a particularly spiritual island. The beautiful sunrise and sunset are pre-eminently the moments that lend themselves to meditation. The garden of Villa Senang has many inspiring places to relax.
Running:
In the hinterland of Villa Senang there are several flat and hilly roads that are very suitable for running. Especially in the early, and still relatively cool, morning you can have fantastic and unforgettable running experiences.
Mountain biking:
In neighboring Lovina, you can rent mountain bikes at several places. You can opt for an independent tour, or a guided bike tour. The guide makes a trip tailored to each group.
Swimming:
In addition to swimming in the pool, you can of course take a dip in the sea (with water shoes) from the beach near Villa Senang. In some periods, especially in and immediately after the rainy season, the sea and the beach can sometimes be polluted with waste that has flowed into the sea from the mountains. At that time we advise you to use the swimming pool in particular.
You will be surprised by this authentic part of Bali, more and more people are discovering the still pristine, unspoiled and authentic north coast!
Staff:
The service team at Villa Senang consists of nice and friendly people who all live nearby. There is a private security guard who guards the villa at night, not that it is unsafe but you always have someone who can help you with questions or emergencies. There is also a gardener/pool man and a housekeeper who is also a great cook and can prepare all meals. The staff has a sense of humor and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable, so you will have an unforgettable stay. The private staff works six days a week, 8 hours a day (except for security). The staff is helpful and modest so that your privacy is guaranteed.
The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned six times a week. You can also have your laundry done by I Luh for a small fee. Towels and bed linen are provided. At the beginning of the street, ± 10 minutes walk, is a large supermarket. And right behind the house is a small warung (small store) where you can buy soft drinks and Bintang beer.
The gardener Ketut takes care of the garden and of the maintenance of the pool. From 18.00 to 06.00 the night watchman Madé is on the grounds of Villa Senang.
The staff costs are included in the rental rate of Villa Senang, also the cooking of all meals is included, only the groceries/ingredients for the food are for your own account. For your convenience, the staff can do all the groceries. You need to give them money in advance to go to the local market. Afterwards they will provide you with receipts. If you want to do your own shopping e.g. at the local market, you can always do that. A visit to the local market for fresh ingredients is a treat in itself. The basic ingredients are in the house. Prices for food are affordable, the cost of living is still lower in this northern part of Bali.
