Welcome in Villa Udara

Villa Udara is a holiday paradise that can accommodate six guests. Its location – in the authentic Balinese village of Kalibukbuk which is part of Lovina – is perfect for lovers of authenticity, local life and nature. The center and the beach of Lovina are within walking distance of the villa.

The villa (210 sqm) is located on a plot of 550 sqm and consists of a living room with and open kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. As this little paradise is excellently located at the back of the village, it is an ideal vacation home for guests looking for privacy, authenticity and tranquility, while still staying within walking distance of restaurants, bars and stores. The meaning of Udara in Indonesian is “air” and is also used for “breeze”. We chose the name Villa Udara during the “foundation stone” ceremony, when we were surprised by a very welcome breeze of fresh air. Udara is also a genus of butterflies; the species are found in the Indomalaya Ecozone, to which Bali belongs.

Totally private:

Villa Udara

The villa is totally private and has a fully equipped kitchen, with a microwave, blender, rice cooker, coffee maker, toaster, plates, glasses, dining table, refrigerator. But because the staff can cook you delicious meals it’s not necessary to cook yourself. But of course you can, and the staff is more than willing to help you and do the groceries.

Furthermore we have 3 bedrooms with king size beds, airco and mosquito nets around the beds. Attached you find at every bedroom large wardrobes and a private bathroom with shower, toilet, towels and toilet gears. Every bedroom has it’s own safe deposit box and for the little ones we have a baby-cot and baby-chair available.

In the garden you find your private pool, 6 sunbeds, a Bale Benong for relaxing, reading or enjoy a massage. In the evening you can dine outside under the frangipani tree, with candlelight makes it a very romantic place. So also for lovers, honeymooners and if you have something to celebrate the villa is the place to stay.

If you want to enjoy paradise Bali this is the place you want to stay. Close to the hustle, but private and quite enough to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Villa Udara is totally private, as a guest you have access to everything this luxury villa has to offer.

The Staff:

The team at Villa Udara consists of nice and friendly people. As a guest, you have private staff for the villa. There is a gardener/pool man, security and 2 housekeepers who are also great cooks. They can cook both Indonesian and western. The staff has a sense of humor and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable so that you have an unforgettable stay.

The cost of the staff is included in the rental price, also the cooking of all meals is included, only the groceries for the food are at your own expense (except the first breakfast). For your convenience, the staff can do all the shopping. You need to give them money in advance to go to the local market. Afterwards, they will provide you with receipts. The staff will only charge you a small fee for transportation costs (gasoline). Food prices are affordable, the cost of living is still lower in this northern part of Bali.

After booking I will send you a welcome letter with all the details of the villa and an information guide of Bali with more background of the villa, the service of the staff and nice suggestions to do and see in the area. In the villa you will find brochures and information.

The staff works six days a week, +-8 hours a day (except security: 7 days). Our team respects your privacy; please consult with us if you wish to have a minimum occupancy in the villa during your stay.

Transfer:

We can arrange the transport from the airport (or from another place on Bali) to the villa for you. Our private driver will be waiting for you in the arrival hall (or lobby) to bring you comfortable with a private air-co car to the villa. The transportation costs RP 650.000 for a car 4/5 people or RP 850.000 for a big car (suitable for 8-9 people). Transfer is not included in the rental rate.

For sightseeing tours you can use also our private driver. Most of our guests do. Arrangements can be made via our staff of the villa or via our help-desk. The driver speak very good English and is also a good guide, He knows the nicest places and hot-spots to visit in Bali! The use of a private car with driver is only RP 650.000 per day (4-5 persons) and RP 850.000 for a big car (5-10 persons) including the car, petrol and the private driver/guide. There is also the possibility to rent motorbikes/scooters for RP 60.000 – RP 80.000 per day, including insurance.

Villa Udara is located at the back of Kalibukbuk, a lovely little village within walking distance of Lovina Beach in the authentic North of Bali. Enjoy the real Balinese life or walk (15 min) into the tourist area of Lovina.

Beautiful beaches, dolphin tours, terraced rice fields, plantations, mountains, monkeys, temples and some nice villages and towns are nearby, such as Lovina and Singaraja. This ancient capital of Bali is home to the Gedong Kirtya library where you will find the famous Lontar Manuscripts. South of Singaraja you will find Bali’s most spectacular waterfall, the Git Git waterfall. About 10 minutes from the villa is the Buddhist monastery Brahma Vihara Arama, also called the little Borobudur, worth a visit, as well as the famous hot springs of Air Panas which are 5 minutes away. You will find beautiful snorkeling and diving sites, such as Menjangan Island nearby and also one of the most beautiful golf courses in Asia, the Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club, is just an hour’s drive away.

You will be surprised by this authentic part of Bali, more and more people are discovering the still untouched, unspoiled and authentic north coast!

The best way to get around Bali is with your own transportation, whether you drive yourself, hire a driver, take a moped or go on a bicycle. This gives you the flexibility to explore and allows you to reach many places that are otherwise inaccessible.

Dolphin tour:

Dolphin watching tours at Lovina Beach remain one of the main nature attractions of this quiet and laid back coastal town in North Bali. What this black sand beach lacks in features when compared to the beaches around the island’s south, it makes up for with its frequent sightings of dolphin pods that favour these calm waters. Back in the days, every sunrise, local fishermen in traditional outriggers set out for their daily catches in the bay, and so did the dolphins.

This unique kinship between humans and dolphins developed over time – hunting pods led local fishermen to where schools of sardines and mackerels, and likewise, dolphins joined in for a frenzy following the cast nets. Occasionally, the cetaceans would breach the surface to check out on the action above. Fishermen now regularly take visitors for a dolphin watching ride to see their aquatic friends from.
